The application for the operating system Android of the instant messaging service google talk, integrated to Gmail, now allows video calls from smartphones and tablets.
It is possible to make video calls between users of mobile devices powered by Android, also between a terminal Android and users of the web version of google talk.
According to Google, voice and video calls can be made from Android mobile devices with support for 3 G or 4 G networks, or for connection to Internet through Wi-Fi. To start a new one called simply press the icon of the House which is located next to each contact of the user of the aplicacioón Google Talk for Android.
Instant messages sent over Google Talk appear in the video in progress, so the user does not need to exit the call to check if you have received new messages.
If the user needs to have access to other functions or applications for your smartphone, the transmission stops automatically. However, the audio continues until that user end the call.
The new application will form part of the new update of Android Gingerbread (2.3.4), which will be released in the coming weeks.
