Data from Nielsen market research company shows that United States consumers mobile phones equipped with the operating system Android are more attractive than the iPhone.
According to figures disclosed in yesterday, 31% of consumers of United States wants to buy an Android smartphone, against 30% who are interested in the Apple smartphone.
Although the difference is very small, if we compare these data with the studies carried out by Nielsen above we can see how the trend has reversed significantly. The latest poll conducted by the company, between July and September of last year, showed that 33% of consumers were interested in the iPhone while 26% preferred a smartphone Android.
"The wider acceptance of Android is reflected in its sales", said the report from Nielsen, and adds: "half of the respondents said that he bought a mobile phone with Android in the past six months". At the same time, 25% of respondents claimed to have bought an iPhone for the same period of time.
Currently, United States smartphone market is led by Android with 37%, followed by iOS with 27%, BlackBerry OS with 22%, Windows Phone with 10%, 3% WebOS and Symbian with 2%.
